This 1-day Basic Training Revalidation course meets the minimum standard of competence for Basic Training provided that the individual has at least 1 year of sea service in the last 5 years and has been previously certified per Section VI/1of the STCW Code;

TRLMI’s Basic Safety Revalidation course satisfies applicable requirements for continued competency in BASIC TRAINING required every five years for mariners sailing under the STCW requirements.

Mariners successfully completing TRLMI’s Basic Training Revalidation course will satisfy the continued competency requirements for Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting in STCW as amended in 2010 AND satisfy the professional competence requirements of 46 CFR 12.613(b) for proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, other than Fast Rescue Boats.

The following practical assessments performed during the course are equivalent to the National Assessment Guidelines TASKs, as documented in NIVIC 08-14 Guidelines On Qualification For STCW Endorsement in Basic Training AND satisfies the requirements for revalidation for Proficiency in Survival Craft and Proficiency in Survival Craft Limited: 1.3B, 1.14A, 1.14B,1.14D, 1.14E, 1.14F, 1.14G, 3.7A, 3.8A, 3.8B, 3.8C, and 3.8D.
